Internal Sales Executive (LED Lighting)

Reporting to: Sales Manager 
Duration: Permanent 
Location: Gouda, South Holland 
Salary: Basic monthly salary between EUR2500 and 3500, depending on experience, plus commission 
Pension scheme: Paid monthly
Start Date: ASAP, on an indefinite contract of employment 
Travel: Attend product and sales trainings in Wembley, London


The Role:

To manage and drive the Integral LED Lighting business within the Electrical Wholesale and Distribution Channels. Focusing on delivering profitable growth for the LED sector whilst supporting the strategic plans as set by the Dutch Sales Director.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Focus on proactive up-selling within selected existing accounts, negotiating prices and providing quotations to customers
  • Continual learning and development to maintain and improve technical competency and skills 
  • Business development activities will include sending brochures and samples, speaking to clients telephonically and through digital methods, but also visiting clients on occasion to create new contacts and maximise leads.
  • Contributing to the development of local account relationships
  • Targeting potential new clients in agreement with the local sales team to maximise opportunities 
  • Answering sales queries from customers via email or telephone 
  • Ensure CRM activity is complete after each call and ensure a regular cadence of calls are pre-planned 
  • Ensure high engagement & effective use of Integral sales enablement tools 
  • Encourage customers to utilise the Integral LED portal to drive further action 
  • Attend external trade shows to enhance relationships 

Skills Required: 

  • Prior experience in a sales or customer facing role is important, gained from within an electrical distribution or wholesale environment
  • An eagerness to learn about our products, and the technical aspects behind them. Previous knowledge of LED lighting will be a great benefit, and being technical conversant with electrical concepts are also attractive as full product training will be given
  • Previous experience of negotiating, quoting, up-selling, and managing customer accounts 
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members in a small, proactive environment
  • Critical thinking and organisational skills to handle a variety of customer facing situations 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively within a small team
  • Good attention to detail and problem solving ability 
  • Fluent English language skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, Word, etc)
